Data Industry Executive To Lead Data Company Powering The Music and Entertainment Industries
LOS ANGELES – July 21, 2021 – P-MRC Data, a leading source for global music and entertainment consumption data, behavior and trends powering the Billboard and Rolling Stone charts, today announced Rob Jonas as its incoming Chief Executive Officer. Jonas will lead the joint venture formed in October 2020 between Penske Media Corporation (PMC) and MRC, which is comprised of MRC Data (formerly Nielsen Music), Alpha Data and Variety Business Intelligence.
Jonas joins the company, which serves more than 750 of the leading brands in media and entertainment, at the Los Angeles headquarters. In this role, Jonas will be responsible for unifying and expanding the portfolio of data products, creating increased value for both existing and new customers and partners, and expanding P-MRC Data’s role as a leading, independent data company for the music and entertainment industries.

Jonas has a history of transforming and scaling businesses as an entrepreneurial leader in the tech industry. He most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at enterprise data company Foursquare, where he was responsible for all sales, partnerships, business development and international markets across the company’s complete product portfolio. In March 2020, he joined Foursquare through a merger with Factual, an industry innovator in geospatial data, where he held the same role, and subsequently spent 12 months completing integration of the go-to-market teams. Previous roles demonstrate an extensive background in high growth technology companies, having worked as Global CRO at PubMatic, Vice President and Managing Director of EMEA at InMobi and Director of Strategic Partnerships at Google in Europe, as well as various commercial and technical roles with Yahoo!, idealab! and IBM. Originally from the UK, he now resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two dogs.
