RICHARD E. GRANT, ARCHIE MADEKWE, AND ALISON OLIVER TO STAR IN SALTBURN, FROM WRITER-DIRECTOR EMERALD FENNELL, MRC FILM, AMAZON STUDIOS, AND MGM FOR PRIME VIDEO

Prime Video previously landed worldwide streaming rights to the film, which will also be released in theaters by Amazon Studios and MGM 

CULVER CITY, California—August 25, 2022—Today it was announced Richard E. Grant, Archie Madekwe, and Alison Oliver have joined the cast of Prime Video’s upcoming feature Saltburn, written and directed by Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) and hailing from MRC Film and Amazon Studios. The trio join previously announced cast members Barry Keoghan (The Batman), Jacob Elordi (Euphoria), and Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, The Wheel of Time). The film will be released in theaters by Amazon Studios and MGM and then stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Prime Video previously acquired worldwide streaming rights to the film.

Fennell will also produce Saltburn alongside LuckyChap Entertainment’s Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie. Described as a story of obsession, other plot details are being kept under wraps. Production is currently underway in the U.K.

Grant’s breakout role in the 1987 comedy Withnail and I launched his screen career, which led to him working with directors Scorsese, Coppola, Campion, and Altman. In 2018, Grant received critical acclaim for his role in Marielle Heller’s drama Can You Ever Forgive Me? opposite Melissa McCarthy and won multiple awards, including an Independent Spirit Award. His work in the film also earned him Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor.

Madekwe stars in Apple’s original series See alongside Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard. He also recently wrapped Heart of Stone for director Tom Harper. Some of his other credits include: A24’s Midsommar from writer-director Ari Aster, Lionsgate’s Voyagers, Teen Spirit opposite Elle Fanning, and BBC’s Les Misérables.

Oliver recently appeared in Conversations with Friends for Hulu and will appear in the upcoming BBC drama Best Interests.
