Label’s first film “Persuasion” to Premiere on Netflix on July 15, 2022
BEVERLY HILLS, CA – July 15, 2022 – MRC Film today announced its romance label, led by Elizabeth Cantillon has unveiled its name - Bisous Pictures - and has hired Sydney Fleischmann as VP, Development and Production. Bisous Pictures focuses on the romance genre with a wide berth of stories that are inclusive and expansive, traditional and modern, original and literature based, and real-life stories that serve all audiences.
Fleischmann was most recently a development and production executive at Duplass Brothers Productions and served as an Executive Producer on HBO’s “Room 104.”
The label’s first film, “Persuasion,” starring Dakota Johnson, Cosmo Jarvis, Henry Golding and Richard E. Grant with Mad Chance and Fourth and Twenty Eight Films is set to debut this Friday, July 15, 2022 on Netflix. Adapted from the Jane Austen novel by writers Alice Victoria Winslow and Ron Bass. Carrie Cracknell, who directed Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge to Tony nominations in 2019 in Sea Wall/ A Life on Broadway, makes her feature directorial debut.
