LOS ANGELES, CA (December 3, 2020) – dick clark productions (dcp) and Tubefilter announced today that stars of the World of Wonder series “UNHhhh,” Trixie Mattel and Katya, will show off their comedic brilliance as hosts of the “2020 YouTube Streamy Awards,” a celebration of the year’s best online content and creators. The announcement was made alongside the trailer release for this year’s 10th anniversary show revealing special appearances by Lilly Singh, Marques Brownlee, and Patrick Starrr and exclusive performances by chart-topping artists including,Grammy-nominated Doja Cat singing her smash hit, “Say So,” Lewis Capaldi with his emotional record-breaking ballad, “Before You Go,” and Tones And I and her record-breaking single, “Dance Monkey.” The Streamys will premiere on its new date, Saturday, December 12th at 6pm PT/9pm ET on youtube.com/streamys.
The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alums and recording artists, Trixie Mattel and Katya, will take this year’s show on the road hosting from the YouTube Streamy Awards' 2-person party bus. Traveling all over Los Angeles, the comedians and best-selling authors, will surprise creators at their homes in addition to revealing winners of classic Streamy Awards.
The “2020 YouTube Streamy Awards” will recognize and reflect on creators who made impactful contributions throughout 2020 by pushing limits, inspiring connections and influencing creative works and diverse voices across race, gender and culture. The full show as well as exclusive videos will be available as VOD immediately following the premiere, as part of the weekend-long global creator community celebration only on YouTube. Additional in-show appearances will be announced in the days leading up to the premiere.
