LOS ANGELES – March 31, 2021- dick clark productions (dcp), part of MRC’s Live and Alternative division, announced today the appointment of Chris Czarkowski as Chief Revenue Officer, reporting to President, Amy Thurlow and Robert Foothorap as Senior Vice President of Sponsorship, reporting to Czarkowski. dcp produces the largest portfolio of live televised entertainment events, bringing together the most influential and iconic artists and entertainers to fans globally.
In this newly created role, Czarkowski will be responsible for dcp’s revenue including a newly created sponsorship sales function, business development and international sales and distribution teams.
As part of the newly established Sponsorship team, dcp has also tapped Robert Foothorap as Senior Vice President of Sponsorship. Foothorap will be responsible for sourcing and executing sponsorship deals and opportunities across dcp’s portfolio. In his role, he will oversee the sponsorship team and integrated marketing team. He will collaborate closely with all dcp teams including programming, development, production, marketing, communications and business affairs.

Czarkowski comes from NBCUniversal where he spent more than a decade serving in a number of different capacities, most recently as Senior Vice President of Client Relationships, where he was responsible for the entire NBCU portfolio across categories such as Restaurant, Telecommunications and Pharmaceutical.
Previously, Czarkowski served as Senior Vice President of NBCU Hispanic where he managed national sales across a team in New York, Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles for Telemundo, Universo and Telemundo.com. As part of his tenure, he led and developed sales efforts, inclusive of on-air, online, mobile, social and on-ground across live event properties including the “Latin American Music Awards,” “Premios Tu Mundo,” and “FIFA 2018 World Cup.” He is a proud Foundation Board Member for The ACLD, a not-for-profit organization that supports the needs of individuals with autism, learning and development disabilities and their families.
Foothorap most recently managed a team at BET Networks/ViacomCBS for the past six years where he was responsible for revenue generation for linear, digital, social, and experiential platforms with particular focus on sponsorship of the network’s tentpole events like the “BET Awards” and “Soul Train Awards.” He managed relationships with major national clients including Pepsi, Warner Brothers, Nissan, McDonalds, State Farm, Apple, Samsung, and Google and others.
Foothorap previously served as SVP of TV Network Sales and Marketing at NBCUniversal’s CNBC, where he managed a sales team responsible for driving domestic and international revenue opportunities. His prior roles include VP of Business Development, Ad Sales at CNBC, as well as positions at MSNBC, and National Cable Communications (now Ampersand). He started his career in guest relations at ABC Television.
