Los Angeles, CA (April 19, 2022) - MRC and NBC today announced the first round of performers taking the stage at the “2022 Billboard Music Awards” (BBMAs), which honor the year’s most successful artists in 62 categories across all genres of music. The superstar lineup includes Burna Boy, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, Rauw Alejandro, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The BBMAs will broadcast live coast-to-coast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 15 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC and stream live on Peacock.
Performer Highlights
As previously announced, Mary J. Blige is this year’s Billboard Icon Award recipient and will take the stage for a breathtaking performance. More information about the “2022 Billboard Music Awards,” including additional performers, host, presenters and more will be announced in the coming weeks.
For more than 30 years, the BBMAs have celebrated music’s greatest achievements, honoring the hottest names in music today. Unique among music awards shows, finalists are determined by performance on the Billboard Charts.
