Kayla Dolan is the director of policy and strategy for Adamantine. In her role, Kayla guides Adamantine’s clients through changing legislative, regulatory, and political environments to mitigate the unique risks facing each oil and gas company. By developing and supporting clients’ ESG, decarbonization, and stakeholder-navigation strategies, she supports Adamantine’s proactive and transformational work in translating companies’ sustainability and decarbonization aspiration into action. Prior to joining Adamantine, Kayla worked as an advisor for members of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, focusing primarily on energy and environment issues. She had an impressive track record of success and was known for being results-oriented, building relationships across the aisle, and understanding the unique risks facing the oil and gas industry. Kayla most recently served as policy advisor to Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy, managing and leading the senator’s energy and environment portfolio, advising the senator during Congress’ unprecedented response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and helping to shape the Energy Act of 2020. Kayla’s efforts working alongside state regulators, project developers, and environmental nongovernmental organizations helped identify legislative and regulatory roadblocks to the deployment of next-generation energy technologies. Her work included establishing the first natural gas carbon capture research, development, and demonstration program at the Department of Energy and modernizing the department’s technology commercialization activities. Kayla holds a bachelor of arts degree from High Point University. In her spare time, Kayla seeks out adventures in new places and is fascinated by all things meteorology.
